- nginx 1.10 (with http2 support)
- php7.0 or php5.6 (php7.1 available on request)
- mariadb 10.1 (a mysql replacement)
- Free LetsEncrypt SSL certificates
- We still have a wide range of commercial SSL certificates, including EVcertificates, available as well from Comodo, GeoTrust, Thawte, and Verisign
- The perfect environment for high performance WordPress web sites!
We’re analyzing existing sites on our service, and migrating existing sites to the newer server when it’s appropriate. If we’re hosting your site, and you’d like to take advantage of these newer technologies, get in touch and request a site upgrade.

June 28th, 2017Windows Vista Support ends April 2017
March 27th, 2017In conjunction with our suppot policy, we want to let you know that Microsoft is ending support for Windows Vista on April 11, 2017. As a result, we will no longer provide free support for systems running Windows Vista either, beyond providing basic email settings.
All customers should consider migrating to newer Windows 7 or Windows 10 systems to continue to get security updates. We can help with suggestions on how to get an up to date system, or help you move your personal data to a new system for a reasonable fee.

February 10th, 2017Recent Email Scams
December 28th, 2016There has been an increase in the last 4-6 weeks in “Phishing” email scams that are looking to trick people into either giving out their email login information or financial information. The increase is most likely timed to take advantage of the holidays, when people are busy and IT departments have staff on holidays. In all cases, the links do not point to the real site, and most from addresses are fake as well. Most of these have been sent from real email accounts on legitimate systems that have been hijacked and used to send out spam, so the server and account aren’t on any blacklists. The account is only used for a short time and then a new account is selected.
What to do:
- Flag the message as “Junk” or “Spam” in your email program (Outlook, Mail, and Thunderbird all have this option)
- Use a strong password for your email account
- Do not use your email account password for any other service
- Look at the from email address and check that it’s valid
- Hover your mouse pointer over the link (don’t click), to see where it goes on the bottom of the screen
What to look for:
- Verify Your Mailbox Scam
- Email Deactivation Notice Scam
- Important Notice Email Scam
- PayPal Email Scam
- CIBC Email Scam
